Internet Marketers: The 3 Simple Words To Increase Your Online Sales
February 28th, 2007 by moniesI’m sure by now, you have heard of The Secret, and the Law of Attraction? It seems to be everywhere these days, even on Oprah. When something hits “Oprah” level of popularity, everyone starts wanting to use it. It seems everyone is talking about it, but a lot of marketers still don’t fully know how to use it.
In order for this “secret” to work in becoming more successful in sales and internet marketing, you must spend your time loving others, as well as yourself. When you love what you do, you love your customers, you love your product or service, you attract customers who love the same things you do.
Imagine your customers or prospects loving using your products, enjoying your products, and then coming back to buy from you again. Imagine this in the back of your mind as you are selling to them, or working on your marketing materials. It’s also important to focus on what their needs are, by asking questions, and exploring what it is that your customers want.
You will be amazed at how well this works. Simply repeat the 3 simple words “I love you” over and over in the back of your mind. You are not really saying it to anyone or anything in particular, you are saying it to life. You are sending the vibration of love, out into the universe.
I thought this was interesting, so I decided to study it further, and to try it in my own business.
Joe Vitale tells a story of a successful car salesman who says he spends all day “cleaning” himself, of all that is not loving, within himself. To do this, he just says “I love you” over and over in the back of his mind. He does this almost like a form of meditation. In fact Joe Vitale now does this himself, and he talks about it on his website, Mrfire.com.
At first this sounded well, a little silly to me. Then I remembered what I read in The Attractor Factor, what Joe wrote about being clear on your goals, and the things that you want to attract. Focusing on, and thinking about what you want, is a great way to attract them, but while you are selling, or working on your marketing, what are you thinking about in the back of your mind?
This is the question you should ask yourself. What do you think about, or what things do you imagine when you are selling, or working on your marketing materials?
If you are thinking about what you are going to be doing when you get off work, or how much money you are going to make, or how much traffic your article is going to bring to your website, customers can feel that, even in your writing. You should be wanting to attract money, sales, and traffic, because those are good things that you should be thinking about, but there is a better time to be thinking about such things.
What I am saying here, is this. Concentrating on what the customer wants and needs, while you are talking to them or writing up your marketing, is the secret to increasing your sales. It’s focusing on them, and solving the problems they have, that will attract them to you.
